French people always value their mealtime, which means that they take time to only eat. Whether it’s in their company’s cafeteria (most companies do have cafeterias) or at home, they always sit down and take time to eat. You would never see a French employee eat in front of her computer or see people eat in their car or while walking. They firmly believe that doing something while eating (something else than talking with colleagues or family members and basically those who share your meal), will give them heart burn.
So in this video here is what you will not see: I have recorded people in the street in many different places and you will not see them eat while walking. It makes probably eating time less “productive” but it prevents from eating mindlessly and ending up eating too much!
