This video is about French bakeries and breakfasts. I know that a typical breakfast in the US is either cereals or some protein (eggs, bacon, etc.). I also know that carbs have quite a bad reputation. But here in France complex carbs (aka grains) are eaten on a daily basis and a typical breakfast is made of some bread, butter and jam.
What’s nice about grains is that they help you feel full just as proteins. They also provide you with energy slowly, as needed (not in a peak like simple carbs and sugar). So you can absolutely lose weight by eating grains. It’s all a matter of portions and moderation.
You can also notice that although there are many different pastries (so more of the simple carbs type), the individual portions are small… And you take time to savor it 😊
